(Launch of the European Project RISE (Research and Innovation Staff Exchange Project) “mtFOIE GRAS”)
H2020 Project RISE “mtFOIE GRAS” European Training Network, focuses on metabolic mechanisms, biomarker discovery and treatments for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), was launched on 1 June 2017. Project Kick-off Meeting was held in Coimbra, Portugal on 14 June 2017. The project is funded by Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and aimed at promoting the mobility of scientists and technicians between academia, companies and patient associations.
The project is led by the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology at University of Coimbra, Portugal. The consortium consists of Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas CSIC-CCHS (Spain), National Research Council (Italy), Universidade do Porto (Portugal), FFUL (Portugal), Helmholtz Zentrum München (Germany), NENCKI (Poland), MEDIAGNOST GMBH (Germany), MICROBIOLYTICS GMBH (Germany), APDP Diabetes (Portugal), Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro (Italy), CNC-University of Coimbra (Portugal), King`s College London (UK) and Oroboros Instruments (Austria).
